I also have tons of videos but I will edit everything later this year (2026)
2015 was the 30th anniversary of the Goonies. It was also a very special year to me because I had a working holiday visa to stay in Canada and I lived some months in Vancouver. I went to Astoria only a week after I arrived in Vancouver. Like in 2010, thanks to Sandi, the owner, I stayed again at the Goonies house but this time in a room near the living room. My friend Vincent from the 2010 trip was also in Astoria and stayed somewhere else.
The event was big, tons of fans and things to do everywhere. The full town was Goonies. The only problem was to get a media pass this time because my website wasn’t big enough... but a friend, Erik, helped me to get one.
I later came back at the Goonies house because in Vancouver I was in the middle of waiting for a new house and I had nowhere to go, Sandi nicely agreed to accommodate me. She’s an angel ! That was in september and the house was covered in blue tarp because she had trouble with a journalist and was tired about some bad goonies fans. I can understand because during my stay there, I saw myself some disrespect, like people throwing away their rubbish just in front of the house or people knocking on the door during late evening to ask for a visit.
Anyway, this 2015 anniversary was a very fun event and the last time I went to Astoria and saw my friends from worldwide. It was also so amazing to meet some guests I met online like Randel Widner and Jack Johnson !
It’s now 2026 and I can’t wait to, hopefully, come back in 2030 !
